Wild Turkey Study - Charcoal Class

Join Cheri Sorensen for a hands-on charcoal class focused on creating a dramatic Wild Turkey Study. Students will learn how to build form, value, texture, and depth while capturing the distinctive feathers, structure, and character of the wild turkey through charcoal.

Cheri will guide you through the process step by step, with instruction on shading, highlights, proportions, feather texture, and creating a strong sense of dimension.

Date: November 28
Time: 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Medium: Charcoal
Class Length: 3½ hours

Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Come ready to create, learn new charcoal techniques, and leave with your own Wild Turkey Study.

NOTE: The class project will be pre-drawn for students so the focus can remain on charcoal technique, shading, texture, and depth rather than drawing the subject from scratch.

NOTE: The image shown above is for example and illustration purposes only and is not the project that will be worked on during the class.
